THE STORY OF QUILTS AND CLAY
Welcome. I'm a quilter and potter living in the Wood River Valley, Idaho. I create functional items with quality craftsmanship.
Sewing
I began sewing in middle school in the 1970's in home economics class. I haven't stopped since. Quilting is a passion I fell in love with early on advancing through hand stitching to machine stitching to computerized stitching.
Pottery
My first pottery class was in high school. I loved it but didn't continue the craft until 30 years later when living back in western Pennsylvania. My childhood friend asked that we start pottery classes at a local studio. Again I feel in love with making pots. I knew I wanted to continue the craft so I purchased all the tools and set up a home studio.
Quilts and Clay
Today I'm truly living my dream with a sewing studio and a pottery studio in beautiful Idaho. Here I love making items for every day use. I am still a student of the crafts and love to learn and share.
Lavender Garden
The newest passion is growing lavender. Both Munstead and Phenomenal are planted and surviving.
